Design and hand-carve a custom word or nameplate in wax — then prepare it for casting.
In this intro-level class, you’ll learn how to design and creating a hand-carved nameplate from sheet wax. We’ll cover layout, spacing, structure, transfer methods, carving tools, and finishing techniques so your piece is clean, legible, and ready for casting in metal.
No prior jewelry experience required.

Materials
All wax projects will be cast in solid bronze (included in tuition), and will be ready for pickup within 2 weeks.
Students may upgrade to sterling silver for an additional fee based on current market pricing at the time of casting. Silver upgrade cost varies depending on the weight of your design and will be quoted to you before casting.
No gemstones or stone setting will be covered in this class.
Optional Casting Day (+$150)
Join in on the casting session and watch your wax become metal.
Plan for one hour on casting day.
